Privileged foreign status locks in the duty rate at admission for merchandise subject to applicable section 232 or 301 decisions (19 CFR 146.41). A notification is not Board authorization to produce. FTZ and drawback interact in specialized ways; treat zone admissions, privileged foreign elections, and any later drawback claim with counsel or your broker rather than inventing a combined procedure from these notices. For related FTZ ACE admission messaging, see FTZ e214 error 238: FIRMS not approved for Direct Delivery.
